1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely *not* like? Merino wool, cotton. I don't like 100% acrylic or anything scratchy.

2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in?
Various things - I have the Denise needles so they have their own case. My SP7 spoliee just sent me a lovely DPN holder. and the rest are in ziplock bags.

3. How long have you been knitting? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced?
About 3 years. I would say intermediate, although I'm not scared to try new things. My finishing techniques need some work, though.

4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?
yep, Amazon. Search by my first and last names, and I'm the only one who will come up.

5. What's your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products etc.)
Lavender. NOT vanilla or anythign that smells like baked goods.

6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy?
Yes. I like dark, slightly bitter chocolate. As far as non-chocolate, I like sour candy. I don't like anything that's salty AND sweet.

7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin?
scrapbook, beading, needlepoint, and I'm learning how to quilt. No spinning.

8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)
Mostly indie rock/emo for lack of a better term. My amazon wishlist has a pretty good sample of my musical tastes. I can play MP3s and I have an iPod.

9. What's your favorite color? Or--do you have a color family/season/palette you prefer?
Any colors you just can't stand?Pink is my favorite, and I also like purple, yellow, blue, green... I can't really think of colors I don't like, although I'm not so crazy for tiger striped patterns.

10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?
I live by myself, but my dad lives nearby. No pets.

11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos?
Yes, yes, yes, no.

12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?
lately, SOCKS!!

13. What are you knitting right now?
baby socks and the Alice sweater from magknits.

14. Do you like to receive handmade gifts?
of course.

15. Do you prefer straight or circular needles?
Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?circular, bamboo, although I do also love the Denises.

16. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift?
No.

17. How did you learn to knit?
My mama taught me.

18. How old is your oldest UFO?
from last summer - Knitty's Kyoto. All that remains is the seaming up!

19. What is your favorite holiday?
My birthday. Then Christmas.

20. Is there anything that you collect?
Not really.

21. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get your hands on? What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have?
hum, I've been meaning to try bamboo yarn for a while, and also some Noro wool. Although I don't have anything in particular in mind to make with either of those things. I have a subscription to Vogue.

22. Are there any new techniques you'd like to learn?
better finishing skills!

23. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements?
Yes, I like to make socks! I have no idea what my foot measurments are - I just try the socks on as I go. I wear size 6.5-7 US, 37 Euro, 5 UK.
