Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival

This weekend, I went to the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival. Above is the yarn I bought. Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in the Lakeview colorway. I have something in mind for this yarn (in fact, bought it with a specific person in mind) but you may have to wait a while to see the end results. It's for someone who I know reads the blog. (maybe you?!)
Alpacas!
My favorite sheepie. He (she? I have no idea) has dreadlocks.
Waiting to be judged.
And here's a woman with some angora in her lap. OK, the angora is still attached to the bunny! She would pull the fur off the rabbit and then spin it, all right there. The poor creature had a big bald spot, right on its butt.

Yet another lucky duck who got to go to MSAW. Glad you had fun, the yarn looks lovely!

Looks like you had fun. I love alpacas! They use them here as companions/protectors in sheep flocks - apparently they're good at protecting sheep from foxes.

Amie, thanks!

Paisley, I love alpacas too! AND I knew about the companion thing in Australia from watching McLeod's Daughters. (althought since that is just a tv show, I guess I didn't know if it was accurate)
