Secret Pal 10 Questionnaire
1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?merino wool. yum. I hate squeaky, scratchy acrylics!
2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in?
the straight needles are in a boring black needle roll. The circs and DNPs live in their little cases, in ziplock bags. I also have the Denise kit and it's in its little box.
3. How long have you been knitting & how did you learn? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced?
About 4 years, from my mom. Um. Intermediate?
4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?
Yes! Email me and I will send it to you - I haven't had luck posting it on the site.
5. What's your favorite scent?
Lavender. I dislike vanilla unless it's in baked goods.
6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy?
Yes. I love dark, slightly bitter chocolate. I also like sour gummi candies for the non-chocolate variety.
7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin?
Scrapbooking, beading. No spinning.
8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)
Mostly indie pop stuff - there's a good cross section on my Amazon wishlist. I love Ben Lee, Ben Kweller, Aimee Mann... Yep, I can play MP3s and I have an iPod.
9. What's your favorite color(s)? Any colors you just can't stand?
pink, purple, green, blue, actually, I love most colors. I don't really like the brown/orange/yellow 70s style colors, but other than that...
10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?
I live by myself. No pets.
11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos?
yes, yes, yes, no.
12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?
SOCKS! I love to knit socks.

A sock for my sockret pal. Alice from MagKnits.

of course.
15. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?
Circs. Bamboo, aluminum, plastic last choice.
16. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift?
a yarn winder but no swift, which makes it sort of a pain to use. I plan to get a swift soon(ish)!
17. How old is your oldest UFO?
old. 2 years, maybe? Knitty's kyoto. just the seaming up to go.
18. What is your favorite holiday?
My birthday, closely followed by Christmas.
19. Is there anything that you collect?
um, not really.
20. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get your hands on? What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have?
There are a bunch of books on my amazon list that I'd like. I love to get sock yarn, because you don't need a specific pattern in mind to use it. I also really dig Noro yarns.
21. Are there any new techniques you'd like to learn?
magic loop. I keep putting it off!
22. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements?
yep. I wear US size 7 shoes.
