Baby Sock do do doooo do

I realized I have to attend or send presents to three baby showers, all in the first two weekends of April, so I made this baby sock this weekend. It's just a simple sock, but I love it! I think it is so tiny and cute! I love the way it stands up on its own, like a little shoe. (or, um, bootie) My socks don't do that, even when I use a nearly identical pattern!
This is the start of sock number two. I'm about halfway through the leg part. Tiny socks go pretty fast!

The yarn is the Regia my SP7 sent. Merci encore, SP7! The pattern is Infant Socks by Judy Ellis.

What do you guys think of the colors? Do you think I can make socks for a baby boy out of these colors? Or a baby of unknown gender? I guess I'm just asking because of the pink bits...

Not Knitting

You may (or may not) be surprised to learn I do other things besides knitting. This is a pillow I made for a friend's wedding gift. I did the needlepoint and my mom sewed it together for me. I'm not so good with the sewing bits yet.
I'm pretty sure he doesn't read my blog, so I have no fears in posting this.

Merci, SP7!

I received a package from my SP 7 this weekend! She sent Regia sock yarn (the orange stripey yarn), 4 balls of other yarn, and some chocolate! Also a good luck card. Thanks SP7, I love it all.

J'ai reçu un colis de ma SP7 ce weekend! Elle m'a envoyé Regia (laine pour les chaussettes - l'une en orange), 4 autres fils, et du chocolat! Aussi une carte porte-bonheure. Merci, SP7, je l'adore.
