Nothing to See Here!

Still working on the Clapotis. Still on the straight row section. (I've done 8 pattern repeats of that section) I love the way it looks, but it's fairly boring to knit and even more boring to write about!

Clapotis-in-Progress

Close up on my Clapotis progress. I managed to get a couple repeats in the straight row section done this weekend at Bryony's. Slowly but surely, it's coming along.

Work in Progress

It's a Clapotis! I'm using yarn that was sent to me by my SP9. I don't actually know what it is - the tag just said "coral" but I'm pretty sure that's referring to the color (which is less orange in person!) and not the material. Which is good since I am allergic to coral. Dennis' Mom, any ideas, do you remember what this stuff is?
In any event, it's lots thinner than the yarn called for, and although I didn't bother with gauge (it's basically a scarf, after all) I did add 4 pattern repeats to the increase section, and I may add some to the straight rows section as well.
To be continued...

Secret Pal 10 Packages!

Sadly, no matter what I try, I cannot get the laptop to read my picture card on my camera. I'm really sorry, as my Secret Pal has sent me some great stuff! I'll post the photos when I return home from Brussels, or if in the next 3 weeks I can find a computer that can read my camera.

In the meantime, you'll have to make do with descriptions. First off, before I left home, she sent me some KnitPicks sock yarn, which I love the colors of and can't wait to try out. Then, on Thursday when I got to the office, there was a package waiting for me! She sent an adorable Hello Kitty notepad and a Hello Kitty nail file, both of which she picked up in Hawaii, chocolate (perfect for the hotel room!) and a birthday present. I haven't opened the birthday present yet - I want to have something to open on my actual birthday.

Thank you, Pal! It really made me feel more at home in Belgium. (sorry again about the lack of photos!)
