Thanks, Malin!

I received my final SP8 package last night. My secret pal was Malin of Sweden. Thanks so much, Malin, you've been a great secret pal! Pictured above is the book of socks she made for me. It's all the sock patterns off knitty in one handy booklet. Also nice because her printer is in color, and mine isn't. The photos are so much better in here than what I can print out!
Next, the adorable Hello Kitty purses she made for me. I'm scared to use them though - see how white they are? I know I will get them dirty in no time!
Here's the lot. Sock yarn, Little Twin Stars stickers, a lavender candle, and Swedish candy.
Also, two Interweave Knits magazines! Back issues that I didn't have.

Thanks again, Malin. It's been great fun!

PS - in case you're wondering, I was secret pal to Melanie of British Columbia, Canada. She hasn't received her final package yet - it's en route - but I gave her some clues and she figured me out!

This is the photo I couldn't get to post yesterday. They're socks for Kobey's fourth birthday, and I finished just in time, seeing as how the party is on Saturday. The invitation suggested bringing your bathing suit for swimming in the kiddie pool, but I think I'll pass on that! Anyway, I used the Knit Picks sock yarn sent to me by Katie, size 2US/2.75 mm Brittany needles, and the pattern is one from someone's blog, but I apparently didn't save the link and I can't remember it. I'll post it later once I look at my printout at home.

Now, in person, these socks look a little long for a four year old. They are only like an inch shorter than socks I would make for myself. However, according to the child's mother, this is the correct size. So, I hope they fit!

Also, does anyone have any suggestions on what to do with the little balls of sock yarn that are always left over? This time it's possibly not enough for baby socks, but it still seems a waste to just toss it out.
