I've been knitting!
This is an Eastern Market Market bag. I made it for
Paisley, my Australian birthday twin. The yarn is mostly Hope, an organic cotton, but I didn't have enough (despite what the pattern claims, and despite making it 2 inches shorter than it should have been) so the handles are in Lily Sugar n Cream (the purple bits!).
And these are Sweet Pea socks, which I know are from
Knitty, but I can't find the pattern in their archives. The yarn is Colinette Jitterbug but I can't remember the name of the colorway. They are for my friend Ana, who lives in Brussels. They're off in the mail today!

First of all, I am in

Here is the start of my HipKnits Project club project, Della. It's slow going... I've messed up and started over 4 times. I think I'm finally on the right track. The pattern is in no way difficult. I think I'm having counting issues.
And a sock I've started. More on this later.
Maybe someday I'll finish something, but probably no day soon.

Socks for Addie
These are socks I made for
Addie using leftovers from the Lisa Souza yarn I had. Small socks are much faster to make than normal ones! Addie's mama, my friend Sarah, told me what size shoe Addie wears, but since I didn't know what that meant in inches, I had to guess. I hope I got it right. The pattern is the same as the pattern for the big girl socks.

Pink sock on a hotel bed! It's Lisa Souza yarn, the Violet colorway. I tried it in a pattern first, and I thought it looked terrible, so I knitted it up plain. It's a present for someone, and I'm not sure if she reads the blog or not, so I'll wait to tell who...

A Finished Object!
Look! I finally finished something... traveling so much had really put a damper on my knitting. These are socks for someone. I will tell who they are for once she receives them. I used koigu yarn and the twin rib pattern from Sensational Knitted Socks.

Package! And a sock or two.
I got my
Favorite Color Swap 2 package yesterday! It turns out my spoiler was none other than
Dennis' Mom, who was also my spoiler for SP9. She made me a dishcloth! And sent myriad other green items. I especially love the Lorna's Laces sock yarn and the green shiny notebook. Thank you so much! I love it.
And here is a sock. I finished it a while ago, actually, but I haven't posted about it yet. It's a gift, and I don't think the person who it is for actually reads the blog, but I'll wait until I've mailed it off before I tell you who it's for!
Second sock. Heel turned this weekend! The yarn is koigu and the pattern is from
Sensational Knitted Socks - it's the twin rib pattern. I had actually started a lacy pattern with this yarn, but I got to the heel of the first sock and decided I hated it. The twin ribbing is much more to my liking.

Finished Socks!
Finally! A finished object. These are socks I made for my sister Amanda, for Christmas. One was finished before Christmas. I wrapped it up, presented it to her, and promptly took it back, so that I could make the second one the same length.
Here it is, on my foot. It's too big for me (my foot ends where the toe section starts) but here's an idea of what the pattern looks like. The pattern is A Child's French Sock, from Knitting Vintage Socks, and the yarn is some Regia cotton, sent to me by my SP8.
